The eared seal is a fairly large animal – the length of an adult male representative of the species reaches 4 meters, and the weight can reach up to 650 kilograms. Rarely, but still there are individuals that weigh up to a ton. Females are somewhat smaller in size and weight.
It should be noted that this color of wool in the eared seal is not constant. In adolescence, it is light brown in color and changes as it grows up, gradually turning into light yellow, but in winter the color changes again, reaching a dark brown, almost chocolate color.
